If nothing changes,

nothing changes

Work-it-Ladies is a group for women who are thinking of getting back into fitness but are unsure how to do so and not feeling confident about joining a "Normal Gym". As you can see from my photos I have had a long journey, taking 3-4 years to get myself into a fitter and healthier place. I'm still not where I want to be, but I want to help others.

I am a fully trained high-school teacher but have decided to to pursue becoming a Personal Trainer and Small Fitness Class instructor. I have completed my Personal Training Qualification at New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness.

My own journey has been a difficult one. I have lived with depression and an unhealthy relationship with food for my entire life. Learning how to become a fitter, healthier person has been difficult to say the least but, also one of the most rewarding things I could have done for myself. Two and a half years ago, poor mental health brought everything to a head. I needed to make some changes or continue being severely unwell.

I want to help other women who are worried about how they feel, how they look going to the gym, people who are nervous about starting out, and who generally, just, need some kind guidance.

What is unique about these classes is that they will be in a private fitness studio, so there will only ever be us there working out together. I will also be running fun classes, designed to get you back into fitness in a way that makes you want to keep coming back, as well as challenges for personal growth.

We want to build a community of people that we can rely on, turn to and get fit together. If this sounds like something you might be interested in get in touch.

I can promise you that when I started out on this journey I hated exercising, I hated eating healthy and would much rather have had a bottle of wine, a box of crackers and all of the cheese.

Come in and give it a go!
